Hello all,
Yesterday, my review of the new Paul McCartney Flaming Pie Archive Collection Deluxe Edition box set was published online. The link to the article is below.
I like the sound on the new remastered Flaming Pie album versus the 1997 original version. I was listening to both the 1997 and 2020 editions with head phones, and the 2020 one seems to have a warmer sound. I'm not an expert on wave forms, mastering, etc. , but that's my feeling.
A couple of songs, among the many tracks, that caught my attention were a 1995 song called Whole Life with Dave Stewart. It was re-recorded in 2003 for a Nelson Mandela related charity album. But this recording has a Stones type sound to it, and the guitars are upfront in the mix. The other song would be the Rude Cassette version of Heaven On A Sunday, which has a heavy, drum machine beat with it.
