Pasty was influential in many other genres beside Country Music. It was 40 years ago this day that she was killed in a plane crash outside of Nashville.

Any other Pasty fans her and your thoughts toward her music and her legacy.

PATSY was a bit before I started listening to pop, and I guess she was "crossover". The production during her big hit years was really smoothe, some of the songs a few years earlier had a bit more of a country edge.

Cowboy punk gave her a lot of replay in the last 10 or so years, and kd lang called her group the reclines in tribute.

"Back in Baby's Arms" in the soundtrack of Natural Born Killers made quite an impact on me when I first heard it.

I often put my cd of her greatest hits in the car for trips.[IMG]
