For less money, I'd send the Radio Shack meter to his house. The Radio Shack meter has more sensitivity settings, so you will be able to read the needle movement more accurately when setting the levels of your speakers.

It's going to be very difficult to see a 1 or 2 dB change on the Parts Express meter.

Plus, the Parts Express meter reads only in A-weighting. You need C-weighting, which the Radio Shack meter has.

OK, I see. So the PE meter doesn´t do the job. :angry:
The problem remains: I can´t buy anything from RS site, so, anyone knows a place online that accepts international credit cards and sells a usable spl meter?
