Do any of you have experience with the Parasound P/HP-850 stereo preamp?

I am interested in getting a phono preamp and headphone amp. As this Parasound preamp combines both functions for only $250, it is appealing. Is it adequate at either?

I think it would be a great piece for the price. Try it. Audioadvisor's 30 day return policy makes that easy. But you would use this piece as a standalone piece mostly. You COULD use it in conjunction with a Home theater receiver/prepro but it wouldn't be ideal.
