Is $1050 a good price? ANyone know of a place online I can get it for cheaper.

Any opinions on how much better this amp will sound than my Denon-2802??

My plan is to use an HCA-1205 with my AVR-882 (same as the 2802). This reccommendation comes from my AV consultant.

As a matter of fact, my front speakers have 2 sets of binding posts (for bi-wire or bi-amp). I plan on Y splitting my pre-outs for front R/L and using 2 channels per speaker, and then using the remaining amp channel for the center. I'll let the reciever @ 80W/CH handel the surround speakers.

Like Mike said a good price for that amp would be in the 600-700 range. And yes it should be a step up from the sound of your 3801.
