The two amps that I am currently interested in are the Bryston 9BST (used) and a Parasound Halo A52 (new). In canada, they can be had for about $3200. Does anybody know how these two compare? Any suggestions?

If I were in Canada I'd suggest the Bryston is a no-brainer. [IMG] I'd love to be able to pick up a 9B ST for that price.

    Exactly.

Parasound are well-known to be over-charging to us poor canadians... just compare the Parasound canadian prices with the prices in the U.S. and you will be shocked!

Bryston is the way to go in canada. I paid my 4BSST more then half the U.S MSRP! [IMG]

Bryston is a no-brainer for us up here.

Bryston. Out of my league (for now!), but a fine machine in all respects. Besides, you're helping support Canadian industry! (ok that was a lame reason, but c'mon, it's Bryston...there's a reason their amps are used in studios worldwide).

Thanks for the info guys. I am going the Bryston route. Did not realise such a disparity in price between US and Canadian funds for Parasound gear.
