Would anyone comment on how they feel the Parasound amps (such as the HCA-2205AT and HCA-1500A) would do if combined with Monitor Audio Gold Reference speakers? I'm looking to get a sense of the sonic signature that the two would generate. Yes, I know that will also depend on room acoustics, other components, etc, but holding everything else constant, what kind of sound would this combo produce (i.e. warm, bright, neutral, laid-back, etc.).

I would be adding a pre/pro to the mix as well - probably the Outlaw 950, and moving to a 7.1 channel setup.

    Thanks!

    Hi Scott,

The Monitor Audio GRs tend to be a tad bright (or should I say, clinical), so a generally warm amp should mate with them well. Parasound are considered to be a warm amplifier as I recall, but also try out Musical Fidelity.

    Cheers,
