I have the Studio 100's and want an amp powerful enough for these speakers.

Does anyone have the Parasound 1205A amp. and these speakers? I have seen people talk about the Parasound 2205 amp, but was hoping to save about $600 with the 1205A which delivers 140 at 8 Ohm and 200 at 4Ohm (which the Paradigms drop to at the lower frequencies.

    Thank you in advance.

If the 100's are of 90db sensitivity or higher and if your HT rooms is not terribly large the Parasound 1205 should be plenty to drive your speakers to reference levels.

Also, unlike certain companies that put out receivers which underrate the available power, power amps are usually rated conservatively. I think the 1205A has been tested at 157 watts/channel with all 5 driven simultaneously. My last receiver, which advertised 100 watts/channel, actually tested out at 48 watts/channel with all five channels being driven at once.
