Came across a good deal on a 2205AT and can't decide which one to get....

    I have Axiom M60 fronts
    pair of Axiom M22's center
    Axiom QS4 surrounds
    Velodyne HGS-15 subwoofer

I'm just wondering how much better performance I will get from the 2205AT over the 1205A with this speaker setup.
I listen to 50%/50% music/movies and I like to listen at
    very high levels.

    Any opinions appreciated....

    Nate,
What's the sensitivity of your speakers? And, how big is your room?
I own the 1205A, but I have extremely efficient speakers. I know a lot will disagree with me, and I do love my Parasound, but the 2205 is such a beautiful brute. For most applications though the 1205 should be plenty of power. How much can you get the 2205 for?
    Here's a recent review of the 1205.

All I have to say is that you're in an envious position having to narrow it down between these two amps. [IMG]

They are the same design and sound exactly the same. Only difference is the power output. The difference is less than 2dB in peak volume.

The Parasound 1205A is a perfect fit with my Denon 3802 and Energy Veritas speakers. A few months ago Hometheater Magazine had a very good review of a similar setup.

I got mine for $600 used off Audiogon.
