I just made my first jump into the world of separates this evening with the purchase of a used Parasound 1205A :) It will be lonely for awhile as it waits for its new friend, an Outlaw 950. However, I'm hoping to test it out using my existing CD player analog outputs to the amp inputs. My question is this: What is the maximum and minimum setting on the input gain dials for each channel? I searched through the manual and the HTF but couldn't find out exactly what I was looking for. At maximum, is the input gain turned all the way clockwise or counter-clockwise?
Also, has anyone with a 950 had a chance to pair it up with a Parasound 1205A? What do you think?
From DPL to DD and DTS, my journey to the dark side is almost complete.
Thanks Guys and Gals!!!

Maximum level corresponds to the THX Ref. mark next to the dial. Full clockwise is the maximum setting and counter-clockwise is the minimum. And the manual does state this in a round-a-bout way; pg. 9, Level Controls paragraph, quote "When using the HCA-1205A in a THX installation, each level control must be set at maximum to correspond to 0 dB THX reference level."
I have a 1205A myself, a 950/1205A should be one heck of a setup.:emoji_thumbsup:

Thanks guys!! That's exactly what I was looking for. I'm hoping to see one heck of a difference as I go from a 7 year old Sony Pro-Logic receiver to the 950/1205A combo. I only got on the 950 list March 11 so it'll be awhile. However, the 1205 should be here this week. From what I've been hearing about both of these components, it should really be worth the wait!
Thanks Again,
