Watched this film yesterday.

What an absolutely terrific film.

It starts with an incredibly fresh idea. It continues with a flawless execution of that idea. It ends with a satisfying payoff.

What more would you want from your entertainment?

They don't make too many films like this one anymore.

I would recommend it as a blind purchase.

Here is the trailer...

Fantastic that you like it Ronald. There are some really superb foreign language films out there. My guess is that Parasite will be up there with The Irishman for the best film of 2019 - I'm really looking forward to the latter!

After seeing Parasite I went on a Bong Joon Ho spree. Saw Train to Busan and Snow Piercer. Both first-rate!

Theatrical Studio: NEON
Theatrical Release: 10/11/2019
Synopsis: Meet the Park family, the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide "indispensable" luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks. By turns darkly hilarious and heart-wrenching, Parasite showcases a modern master at the top of his game.

I love Train To Busan but it wasn’t directed by Bong Joon Ho. It was directed by Sang-ho Yeon. And a sequel is in development.

It's being released on 4K disc in Germany. However, it doesn't look like there are English subtitles provided. The cover art is more to my liking than the American release version, but still not on the level of the one sheet.

Oh, my mistake. I thought that was his film. On Facebook, all his fans were recommending it as one of his.

There's a new UK poster commissioned by Curzon Artificial Eye from design studio La Boca for the upcoming February 7 theatrical release. There are several great alternative poster designs - it would have been really interesting to have seen what Criterion or Arrow might have produced, had they released it on disc.

What is this movie about without giving away too much?

A poor family begins to systematically insert themselves into the lives of a rich family for their own benefit until something happens that causes their new posh circumstances to unravel.

I'm being really vague because the movie includes a number of really good twists that you should experience for yourself, but that's about as general as I can make it.
