    Fresh from www.dvdfile.com :

And in other Paramount news, ever since the studio jumped on the DVD bandwagon many a year ago, home theater enthusiasts have wondered when the mountain would finally, if ever, support DTS. Well, word has come our way that fans may not have to wait much longer. Paramount is cooking up their first DTS title for release soon, although which title exactly will make history remains unknown at press time. Of course, watch this space for more...

I wonder if the "Jack Ryan Collection Set" re-releases including "The Hunt for Red October" will be amongst the DTS releases in 2003?

Lucas has a big stake in THX, which has close ties with Dolby, so I'm pretty sure that we'll never see DTS versions of any movie Lucas had a hand in. Sorry to burst the IJ bubble on that one. Ain't economics a bitch to movie buffs?

Yes, but the Indy series is as much Spielberg's baby as it is Lucas's baby. And we all know how much Senor Spielbergo likes dts...

I think it's possible that the Indy DVDs will both be THX certified and DTS. And besides, isn't THX no longer owned by Lucas?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Titanic SE that was in the works for quite some time. We'll see.

I have a feeling it is Indy related more so than anything else. But I have a feeling that Paramount will be testing the DTS format on other discs before Indy comes out.

Funny how every poster pushes the way of their favorite movie to have DTS. [IMG]

Titanic SE would be spectacular! The DD sound is nice, but DTS would own!
