I believe that Paramount owns the rights to Family Ties. Martin, if you read this, I'm curious if there has been any consideration given to getting seasoned box sets of Family Ties out on DVD. It's shows like this, The Wonder Years etc... that I love, and would love to have archived for my future children. I'm 21 now, who knows what kind of programming will be broadcasting in 7-8 years [IMG]

I, too, would do what I could to see the entire series of "Family Ties" on DVD.

I believe it's Season 5 that has what I believe to be one of the best episodes, definitely an episode that shows the strength of MJF, a two parter called My Name Is Alex.

I should also mention that there is an unsold pilot for a spinoff series: "The Art of Being Nick," for Scott Valentine's character, that aired in August of 1986, that should also be included.

This would definately be great, especially if you could pay tribute to MJF or maybe have him put some input into it. If he's physically unable, I'm sure we'll all understand.

I would probably buy this series on DVD!

    Chris.

Count me in as someone who would purchase complete season boxsets in a second!

There's also a 1988 special, "Inside Family Ties," hosted by Henry Winkler, that documented the making of an episode. It aired, interestingly enough, on PBS.

I think now is the time. Paramount is really getting into this TV-on-DVD thing.
And you know what, Nick @ Nite replaced it with, of all things, "Full House." [IMG]

I too would love to see this show on dvd as season sets. I also hope Paramount also releases the 90's sitcom Wings on DVD. These two shows are on my top five favorite shows list. Hope we see them soon on DVD

I'd pay any outrageous amount of money for Family Ties on DVD. Are you listening, Paramount? [IMG]
    Season sets of course...
This is one of my favorite shows of all time, and definitely my favorite from the 80's. VisionTV aired some episodes a couple years ago, but they were edited to make room for more commercials. Bah.
Oh what I'd give to be able to watch Family Ties again, in order and uncut!
