These are the same I've made since 2001; perhaps this yr. will be it!!!!!

    1.Buccaneers, The (Yul Brenner)
2.Last Outpost, The (President Reagan) Re-release title-- Cavalry Charge. This was previously released by a hack outfit named Ivy Video, in a deplorable state.
    3.Pony Express
    4.Villa Rides!

Things don't look good considering that there is NOT one new catalog title announced for the first quarter of 2006.

Also the long awaited, promised release of

Right now, I've got 3 wishes from Paramount.

    1. I'm with Doug Irving on wanting
    ENCHANTED APRIL (1992)
    2. I would like Richard Pryor's
    SOME KIND OF HERO (1982)
    and
    3. I think Liza Minnelli's
THE STERILE CUCKOO (1969) is worth having in my library.

Not that I'm holding my breath for the longest shot I can imagine, but I'd love to see a very simple disc (16x9, mono, trailer) of Serial (1980) with Martin Mull and Tuesday Weld. "My men and I are tough dudes!" Cheers.

Enchanted April is available as an R2 German 1.85.1. DOLBY DIGITAL SURROUND 2.0 DVD. The quality is not bad. Better than the Australian version and is in English with no subtitles if you wish via the menu. Available at eBay or Amazon.de. German title is Verzauberter April..of course you will need a region free player but don't we all have one by now.

This seems a much more likely release for the near future than anything in Peter's terrific list. Paramount has been slacking tremendously on catalog of late and just revisiting already available titles. I wish Mr. Staddon was still steering their home video division, which seems to have gone way off course.

????? Do you mean Peter Staddon? Was he not---and is he not still---the Fox HV head?

    My pic(k)s are:

    (1) The Sender (1982)
    (2) The Keep (1983) [The problem here seems to be Michael Mann's busy schedule. We'd definitely want a "director's cut". The release version is a mess of a film.]
    (3) Special Unit 2 (short-lived UPN series, 2002)

I don't know of too many vintage films that Paramount owns the rights to that I want. Some of the Amicus horror films perhaps?

Yes, and this is another recent example of my making an embarrassing error.

I was, of course, meaning to indicate Martin Blythe.

    Sorry for my too-hasty post.

Doesn't Paramount also have rights to TWIN PEAKS now? How about a newly remastered Season 1(with the pilot!) and Season 2 finally!
