If Artisan still owns this, I won't even bother to request it. But my understanding is that Paramount will have or does have the rights to this library. THE PAWNBROKER, one of Sidney Lumet's earliest and most powerful films and starring Rod Steiger in the role that should have won him the Oscar, this needs a fine OAR DVD release. The Republic laser was only so-so. Thanks!!

I can"t believe this film is still not out on dvd. THE PAWNBROKER is a great motion picture and deserves a dvd release.
