up until the 8th of June, theres absolutely nothing i want.
i will be interested in seeing DOTL for the first time as well as TPA.
Ragtime is the first sure buy for me and Suzie Wong is a very pleasant suprise.
i was just thinking of that title the other day and how much i would like to have it on the shelf next to my other Bill Holden films.

I can't say I much like the film, but I noted that what looked to be a new video master of Funny About Love has cropped up on HBO (I just watched a bit of one airing last night). This explains it. [IMG]

Glad to see so many titles on the way ... now here's trusting the Ten Commandments SE will be transferred from large format (eight perforation 35mm VistaVision or LF restoration elements). [IMG]

Hopefully, the Star Trek: Generations SE will be released sometime before the end of June as well.

I'm still hoping the date for We're No Angels is a misprint. Good news about Summer School, though.

"Back To The Beach" is a must-buy for me...

I did the write-up on it for The 80s Movies Rewind and it'll be great to finally have a widescreen transfer.

    Sincerely,

    John Kilduff...

Thanks for the list, for myself...

The Ten Commandments SE - Depends on the extras and the transfer, but a likely repurchase.
    Half a Sixpence
The Molly Maguires - James Wong Howe's cinematography is enough of a reason for me.
The Tin Star - More Anthony Mann is always welcome.
    The Day of the Locust
    The President's Analyst - Finally.
    Ragtime
    The World of Suzie Wong

    - Walter.

Well, I wish I hadn't JUST bought The Ten Commandments a few weeks ago - but I only paid $14 for it, so I may go ahead & double-dip.

Big surprise for me: "The Winds Of War". I seem to remember this coming up in a thread a year or so ago and supposedly no one knew who owned it. If Paramount does as nice a job on this as they did on "Shogun" (and I have no reason to think they won't) I will happily pick it up. Now if Image would just reprice & repackage their expensive & oversized "War & Remembrance" boxes...

    [yawn]

    Still MIA:
    Il Conformista/The Conformist
    Miracle of Morgan's Creek
    The African Queen
    Ace in the Hole
    Reds

    ... among others ...

Edited out Delicatessen, which seems to be a Miramax property.

Perhaps Paramount could include the silent Ten Commandments with the remake. That would be a fine special edition.

(Add: I'd also wish Paramount would start a line of silent film DVD's like Warner is. If all else fails, Paramount could at least license the films out to Milestone Films or Kino.)

Nothing I want on that entire list despite there being several titles I still want from Paramount such as:

    Testament
    Let's Scare Jessica To Death
    Phase IV
    Student Bodies
    Four Flies on Grey Velvet
    The Keep

And many others that I will refrain from listing.

Justin, relax. I'm willing to bet some of those titles -- especially The Keep -- will turn up in August-October for next Halloween. Looking forward to The President's Analyst-- especially if they keep the original music!

Man, if that turns out to be true about the version of We're No Angels, it will be a MAJOR disappointment. [IMG]

I'll only be buying The Winds of War, and maybe Fancy Pants, if that's the film I'm thinking of. It would take either deleted scenes or a improved transfer to get me to rebuy Ten Commandments.

And, just to beat a dead horse, why in the name of God, would they release the 89 version of We're No Angels instead of the classic 55 Bogie version? Why, why, why?!?!?!?
