I'm getting Paradigms for my fronts (Studio Ref 60s, CC). I am limited to looking at in-ceilings for the rears because my house came pre-wired for home stereo and already has the ceiling cutouts.

My Q is whether I should go with Paradigm's in-ceiling (Ref SA-10R) speakers which would have the advantage of timbre matching my fronts, but are monopoles, OR whether I should go with in-ceiling dipole speakers from another company (Sonance Symphony series RS-1)which would offer more of the surround effect. The price differential is negligible b/n the Paras and the Sonance. (BTW, a Denon 3802 would drive this setup, if it makes any difference.)

I use the SA-10R's for the in-ceiling rears and are very happy with their performance. However, they are very directional and you would want to make sure they are a little ways behind your seating position in order to get the effect of the directional sound effects without being able to actually pinpoint the speaker position.

BTW: I have the 60's and CC's for front and centers and really like them.

    Good luck,

    Mike
