Paradigm Studio Series Speakers - Is this a good price in Candian $? (1 Viewer)

I was quoted by a canadian paradigm dealer $3800 Canadian for the following setup including all applicable taxes. Is this a good price? If not what should I be looking for:

Studio 60's (1x)

Studio 20's (1x)

Studio CC (1x)

PW-2200 Sub (1x)

The dealer has a good reputation.

John, do you have the individual prices for each speaker pair to make up the $3800? Because I didn't buy the 60's or the Sub, I cannot tell you, but I can tell you what I paid for my 20's and CC. $850 Canadian for the 20's in Lt. Cherry and $400 Canadian for the CC.

Thanks for the quick response! If I did my calculations right he just took 15% off the canadian retail prices for each of the speakers. I am taking it that your 20's are of the wood veneer type? Also, That is a hell of a price on the Studio CC! They list at over $500 canadian.

I'm assuming by 1x you mean a pair of 60's and a pair of 20's.

Anyway, my calculation of Canadian MSRP on those comes out to $3840 so the discount is the 15% tax if your buying in Ontario. You can apply for the 7% GST part back so you save another 7% but you should be able to negotiate down to 20 or 25% off list.

60's $1450.00 pair

20's $800.00 pair

CC $600 each

PW2200 $990.0 each

Total $3840.00 Canadian before tax.

John, the prices I got in Canadian dollars for what I purchased in Montreal are this...(by the way, I could have gotten cheaper, but compared to my local dealer, these prices were so good, I wasn't about to get greedy). These prices I got with a minimum of haggling.

Yes, my mains and rears are in the wood veneer.

Ref 40's in Lt. Cherry $1050 Canadian

Ref 20's in Lt. Cherry $850 Canadian

Studio CC $400 Canadian
