Paradigm Studio CC and CC-450. What is the difference? (1 Viewer)

If they are different, do they sound that much different? Just curious.

Same series, but different versions of the centre speaker:

Version 1 = CC-450

Version 2 = Studio/CC

The CC-450 is not ported. While I recall reading that the Studio/CC is rear ported.

Actually there was a minor chnage in Tweeter design

and supposedly a very slight x-over change. We are talking the Reference line? LIke Ref 20- 40- 60-80-100 ver.2 correct?

This change over occured 2 1/2 years ago.

There is not much differnce in sound from the ver.1 to the ver.2 speakers. This occured about the same time there was a cosmetic change from the non-descript stright sides to the present curves. SOme gloden ears feel the sound is not as harsh or bright. This may be true at high power. A weak point in the Ver.1 series. As the vloume went up the Tweeter became a bit bright especially off axis Frq. response.
