So, I was all set to go with a setup of Monitors then I went in and auditioned them again and they switched to the studio series 40's. Well good bye monitors. And goodbye even more $$ lol. Now I'm curious as to how these prices they gave me look/compare to what others have gotten. As now I'm hooked on the reference Studio Series.

Studio 60s $1599 (for the pair)
CC-470 $599
ADP-470's $949
PW-2200 $929.99

-10% $407.90

total $3672

I was thinking a Denon 3803 or 3805 would work well with these. Anyway do those prices sound about right??

I would get the setup without the sub.....and still ask for 10% off.
You can get a better sub than that for the same price if not less....any svs or hsu would be better in my opinion than that PW.

Just read the thread PW-2200 Beats SVS....NOT!!

I paid $2840(tax in) for a Studio 40/20/470/PW2100. I also got free Premier Audio stands thrown in.

They all look like darned near list...

If you work at it you should be able to do much better, but that could take some tradeoffs (in when you get the stuff & where). One example - I just happen to know of a certain CC470 that was acquired for approx. 75% of the price you were quoted - but it took some darned work and patience.

That PW2200 price also looks really high. For that much $$$ you really should consider SVS & Hsu too.

My dealer quoted me 1500 for the 60's. I Don't know what the msrp on them is though, as they tend to give me discounts before I even ask:)

I have the PW-2200 and although I've never been dissapointed with it(it is a great sub), I'm still wanting to move up the the SVS PB2+. The price quoted you is pretty close to the price of the PB2+. If it were me, I'd give a hard look at the SVS sub. The rest of the package should make a great system for sure.
