Hi all,

I recently acquired a Paradigm PW-2200 sub - it was on sale for a mere $600 Canadian...so even though I was happy with my PSB Subsonic 6, I couldn't pass it up.

Problem now is that I find the Paradigm is incredibly boomy. No matter where in the room I put it, and no matter the material (movies, music, whatever) it lacks definition.

Admittedly, my kinda-sucky Kenwood VR-309 receiver is not a good match for the sub, but it still shouldn't boom like it does.

Has anyone found a way to reduce this effect with this sub?

Thanks!

how is the sub connected and the receiver setting? if the speakers are set to small and the sub is connected via the lfe out, the sub volume control might be set too high. if you have an spl meter, it is much easier to calibrate the sub volume.
