are the v1's good buys for about $210?
How old and what condition? Paradigm make excellent speakers.
Kevin, yeah i know
v1s must be about 4 or 5 yrs old though. Seen some decent looking v1s selling on eBay for 80 to 100, so 210 is bit much
V1s use a different tweeter too, don't they? They are at LEAST 5 yrs old, because I bought v2s right when they came out about that long ago. Considering that they were like $340 new, $210 isn't a great price.
I just got v4's for 320 if that helps, you should be able to get 3s for closer to 220-250. If you can find them, most people prolly still own them.
Mini-Monitor V.1 got a soft-dome tweeter. I had the V.2 after reading Corey Greenberg's review in the old Audio magazine....at least, if not more than, 5 years.
Now I feel silly for even asking, just checked with the distributor here, new Mini Monitors are SG$500 (USD$305) sheesh
That's a pretty good deal, considering they retail for more $$$ here in the States.
Yea what are SG?
I wish I could have got them at that price. usd 305.
By the way if you can get them at the equivalent of 305 usd get them. Thats a good deal and you'll be very happy with them the sound great for under 400 bucks! The only think I noticed is that with paradigm speakers the veneer finish is crappy quality where the ends meet. Its not just mine Ive checked 4 pairs. No body would ever notice unless they picked them up and thoroughly inspected them.
My Mini v.1'S have titanium tweeters.
I believe "SG" means he's in Singapore (SG$ being Singapore Dollars).
yes I'm indeed in Singapore
exchange rate is roughly SG$1.7 ~ US$1.00
