    Any thoughts, opinions, experiences???
I am trying to decide between these speakers.
I have heard the Active 40's but cannot find a pair of Studio 60's to audition.
    Thanks for all replies,
    - John

    John,
I have never heard the Active 40s, but I compared the Studio 40s to Studio 60s and preferred the 40s. I felt I really wasn't losing any significant bass response with the 40s, and they were overall more pleasing to my ears. Not to mention that I am using an SVS 20-39PC as my sub, and the 60s were $500 more.
People who have listened to/have the Active 40s seem to consider them a significant step up over the Studio line, unless the latter is used with some high quality gear. I'd say go with the Actives.
