I was wondering why people preferred the 40's to the 60's so strongly?

In addition, now that the active line is gone, could someone inform me of how to get these passive speakers to sound as close if not better then the active counterparts. Buy a good amp and what else. Thanks.

    Adil,

I didn't. I preferred the 60's over the 40's and have a set for the front's in my HT.

I thought the 60's sounded fuller and the 40's were a little thin sounding.

However, I thought the 80's sounded slow and muddy compared to either the 60's or the 40's. (The 100's were physically too big for the spousal acceptance factor!).
