I picked up a Panasonic RP56 today after going through four other players that had numerous problems. One of those players was the Denon 2800. You would think that the $700 price tag would equal performance but it does not it this case. The player had decent picture quality but of course suffered from the Chroma bug. What really killed me is that i would play discs like Casino, The Mousketeer, and others that would look decent on normal player yet looked like crap from the Denon. I scoured the net looking for reviews on various players only to become more confused with endless opinions on progressive models. So I turned to the trusted Home Theater Forum to find that most of you suggested the Panny RP91 or the RP56. I searched high and low at my local B&M's without luck on the 91's. Luckly I found this one demo unit RP56 for $199. Brought it home, set it up and WOW! What an awesome picture! I couldnt believe my eyes! This picture quality on the 56 looked better than the 2800 and even the sound quality was great! Just want to thank you guys again for the info!
