It hasn't even been out 3 months and according to customer service at DigitalEyes, it's already been discontinued. This seems to be confirmed if you plug an Amazon search as well...

Could anyone explain the issue here?

I never got around to picking it up, but was really looking forward to!

    What gives??

    Marco,

As far as I know, it hasn't been officially released in Region 1. Its release date has been shifted several times over the last year or so. It was supposed to be released on May 23rd, but it appears this title's release will be pushed back once again.

Sorry guys... according to Amazon, the release date was listed as Feb. 28, 2006 - which is why I assumed it had been released.

I remembered seeing a press release or announcement at DVDTimes a while back and just assumed it had since been out, but just never got around to picking it up.

Anyways, not to worry - Let's hope this receives an official release soon! [IMG]

Amazon is listing a new release date for this title and Author, Author! - October 17. No sign of Pacino-directed boxset yet (including Looking for Richard). Let's take bets if these discs are getting released. So far, they were initially announced in October 2005, then moved to February, March and May.

Bets that ANY of the discs I want (Panic and Richard, included) will be released? Well, maybe if I could find a plugged nickel somewhere...

Hope the Panic date stays firm. But...fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...

Deep Discount DVD lists Al Pacino set for October 17 release date as well, so who knows...

I think it's time someone changes the thread title now that the disc is readily available.

I thought it may have just been recalled since it has the PG rating on the case, but is actually the complete R-rated version of the movie on the disc (including graphic needle-drug use, nudity, and profanity). But no recall, just an old thread with a now very misleading title.
