Panasonic Toshiba and sony, why such a big price difference? (1 Viewer)

all three offer a 34" widescreen HDTV yet the prices are vastly different. The Sony sells for 7000$ the Panisonic sells for 4500$ and the Toshiba for 3500$. They all seem to offer similar features but this price difference is insane. if anyone has any insight into why there is such a difference please let me know.

The Sony has a built in HDTV decoder, and in the states I've seen it on sale for as little as $3500. No idea why it would be so expensive where you are.

the prices i listed are in canadian, and from what i have been told the in Canada they dont hve the HDTV decoder built in, but i will look into that some more, thanks for the input.
