FYI the Future Shop on St.James in Winnipeg has a floor model Panasonic RP82 for sale...they're asking $325 cdn if you ask for the sale price.

How come Future Shops out east haven't ever carried those!

Chris, I noticed 2 Futureshops in my area(Hamilton) had the RP82 floor models when I picked up mine.

No kidding? I don't see the RP-82 listed on the Future Shop website.

If I was going to use my interlaced DVD player with an iScan for use with an LCD projector (AE100, AE200 or Sanyo Z1)..is there any point to grabbing an RP-82? Would I see much of an improvement? The iScan is handy because I can watch VCR tapes and regular TV decently. The RP-82 would improve my DVD playerback I assume, but at quite a cost. I wonder if its worth it.
