The late September date actually came from the One Call rep. on another bulletin board system. Last I heard from Panasonic was early September, but that was about a month ago. I haven't confirmed it Panasonic, but I believe it.

The 61 has in fact been delayed until September in the US. Don't expect to see it in stores until late September or early October. Quantities will be very limited for the first month.

Just spoke to a Panasonic rep and the RP61K or RP61S are not available at any dealers yet. She didn't have an updated release date in the system. I've had a backorder in at ecost.com since early July. A shipment was supposed to arrive at ecost today Aug. 15. Inventory won't be updated until tonight. I'll post again if I can verify a new tentative release date. Very frustrating, I'm cancelling order and looking elsewhere if this release is pushed back again.
