I'm about to get a new DVD Player, and would like a few suggestions from the forum.
The Panasonic CV51 and the Toshiba SD2715 seem basically the same, so I'm undecided. I want the CDR/CDRW/MP3/VCD playability. (I think they're both VCD capable) (I hope)[IMG]
    Both hold 5 CD's.
I checked out Audioreviews.com, but no one has reviewed the Toshiba yet. I've read great things about the Panny though.
What do you think? Any 2715 owners here yet?
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Paul,
I can't say anything about the Tosh as I didn't even
compare or look at it when I went DVD Carousel shopping.
I bought the Panny CV51 and couldn't be happier. It does
a wonderful job of playing all of the various audio formats
that it supports, It uses a dual laser system with each
laser being dedicated to a particular task, either audio
or DVD. It plays music great and the picture quality is
very good. The transport mechanism is a little slow but
    other than that...
    www.etronics.com has the CV51 for $205.00

Brett thanks for your reply. [IMG] I know you have the Panny because before I posted this, I did a search by names and found yours concerning the CV51. I know you're happy with it, and I am 99% positive I will be getting the Panny as well. I was just hoping someone here had the Tosh.
I looked on Ecoustics and Audioreview, but I guess the Tosh is too new to review. (I'm a poet :b)
    Thanks again,
    Paul

Oh yeah Brett, and I was looking at Etronics. $32 to ship a DVD Player? They must be High! I was going to get a Onkyo 595 from them and they want $25 shipping. "Maybe" if they would ship both for $40 or something resonable, it wouldn't be bad. HTD will ship an entire 6 piece speaker package for $45!
