Panasonic 47wx52 ?? (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine is looking at this TV. It is $1,800 at Tweeter.com I'm sure it can be had for cheaper if you shop around. I really wan't to know if this is a decent TV, and is there any better ones you might rec. in that price range?

A very nice set. LAst year's models were some of the worst looking ones out of the box ... but once calibrated ... one of the best units on the market.

This year's model looks pretty decent out of the box and still shines when calibrated. A weaker colour decoder this year compared to last, but better colour palette.

Many of the internal pieces of wood are not painted black at all which spells cheap cheap ...

A good set with good potential.
