Panasonic 42PX60U help (1 Viewer)

I purchased a Panasonic 42PX60U from Ultimate Electronics about a week ago and am still waiting for it to come in (I won't even get into that though). I have been researching this set on the net for the last week and am a bit confused. Can anyone tell me if the set displays 1080i or just accepts it and down converts it to 720p. The answer will not make me change my purchase but I would really like to know what I am looking at.

It's a 768p set. It downconverts to that.
