Pal and SECAM Resolution? (1 Viewer)

Hey All,

I have a perplexing question about the resolution on multi-system TV's. You see currently I own a 36" multi-system TV that I got when I lived in Germany, and I already know the the standard NTSC resolution is 480i and a color temperature of 4,500K but what about the resolution on PAL and SECAM signals? Would this change the overall resolution on my TV, or are they the same as NTSC?

I know the resolution of PAL is 576 lines vs NTSC's 480. I would think that SECAM would be the same as PAL's since they are related. Also PAL works at 25 fields per second vs NTSC's 30 per second. As far as how your TV handles this, I'm not sure. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along and help you.
