Has anyone attempted to paint a Sony Wega tv? What kind of paint/ application would you use? Would the warranty be voided? Black is the color I'm thinking of, of course.

First of all, let me ask the obvious question: why???

Next, yes of course painting the TV will void it's warranty... if you can locate your Owner's Manual, and maybe read it, it will spell out exactly what you can and can't do... mostly can't. If you have no owner's manual, it means you're not the original owner, and the TV is most likely a few years old... in which case, the warranty period is most likely expired. It's up to you... I painted a TV with spray paint once by detaching all the plastic casings and painting them and letting them dry COMPLETELY before re-attaching... it worked.

I think you'd be better off just turning down your brightness instead of painting your TV screen black.
