Painting Speaker Covers

    I have in-wall speakers and would like to paint the covers. Is this okay to do and do you have any tips? They are metal and white. Also, there is some material on the back of them.

    Any suggestions?

    If you just paint the metal part you will not affect the acoustics. Just make sure you do not fill in the holes with paint.

    As Will said, you can get away with painting the metal parts. But absolutely, under no condition should you paint the grill cloths. "Guilford of Main" sells an array of "acoustically transparent" materials in assorted fabrics, and colors. It can be bought here:
