I just got a Pace 551 HDTV cable box from Comcast and the manual, which was put out by Pace, seems almost useless. The regular Pace code for One For All universal remotes doesn't even work on it. The Scientific Atlanta one does though. Sheesh.

Anyway, there are a couple of things on one of the menus that isn't mentioned in the manual I wanted to see if anyone had any idea of what they really are.

One is Analog Enhance. It's turned off and I haven't seen any difference with it on, but I have the HDMI connection going to my TV.

The other is AUTO PILLARBOX. That is turned off too.

    Thanks for any info.

Its an aspect ratio control setting. Basically, pillarbox is the equivalent of "letterbox" but the screen is fully used top-->bottom but not side-->side. That's what will happen on a 16:9 display when 4:3 content is displayed without any expansion or stretching. Don't know what they'd mean by "auto" for that tho'.
