I belong to a Ozzie and Harriet group on Facebook. The moderator is friends with Tracy Nelson and thanked her for "lighting a fire." Y'all make of that what you will, but we do have news!

With the Holidays just around the corner I bought the Alpha Ozzie And Harriet 8 episode Christmas DVD. I'm really in the mood to enjoy these programs and I can't figure out exactly where Sam stands , so I bought this one . I know the quality isn't there , but I can still watch them THIS year . I hesitate to criticize Sam Nelson , since I was skeptical of the Steve Canyon release program but eventually it came out in great quality. Still, I hope we get some good news on the O And H soon.

Still holding on to that pipe dream I see. Face facts, Sam ripped everyone off. You're never going to see a thing from him.

Unless Sam himself told you he ripped people off, you have nothing more than speculation.

Just a reminder that a discussion on this situation does not require remarks made directly at other members.

I'm usually a "glass half full" kind of guy, but six years after the KickStarter bid and four years late on hitting his his self-imposed deadline makes even me wonder if any fruit will ever appear on this tree.

    But hope springs eternal...!

    [IMG] Merry Christmas, Nelson fans!

I can't argue on this point . That's why I bought the Alpha release.

So, just checking in and hoping to rekindle some interest in this topic . I have no answers , just questions
Any news at all? Is this project a totally dead end at this point ?
Anyone know if any work at all is going into this?
Status of the "Kickstarter " campaign at this point ?
I like the show quite a bit , so I'm glad I can pull out my Mill Creek and Shout Factory releases occasionally to watch . But , truthfully , what a disappointment this turned out to be .

I think Sam was way over his head. Maybe he can partner with some other company. The people restoring the Blondie TV series might be able to help.
It's a funny show. I've been watching it weekdays on Retro-TV and I've recorded an additional 50 episodes that are not on the Millcreek and Shout sets. They also run about 25 min without commercials, and the picture is not that bad, but, yeah, it would be nice to have season sets with remastered picture.

Sam should make a DVD set of what he's accomplished so far and give the donors to his kick starter project each a copy. At least they'd get something.

I think that ship already sailed when he rejected the lifeline offered to him by an established organization.

RonLG, I was able to identify that 'tuxedo' O&H episode I mentioned in the "What Are You Recording Thread", that I had missed on Retro. Turns out I do have a 29 min. version from YouTube.

The episode title is "Ricky's Blind Date". I tried to post the YouTube video but it is not working. O.K. see Post #837, below. I was mixing up the uppercase I and lower case L. In this episode Ozzie and Harriet break into a tailor/tuxedo shop. The elusive Will Thornberry is in this episode.

This episode would be an interesting problem for a complete series set. It is a 1963 rerun of a 1955 episode. It has a 1963 intro by Harriet, 1963 commercials and a milk PSA with the cast, plus a 1963 song by Rick. So does it count as a new episode? Did Rick repeat some of the songs in different episodes?

Did June and Kris ever appear in an episode together or in the same scene? I think they did appear together in a family picnic scene in a Coca Cola commercial,

Are you referring to Shout? Is that the other company that he turned down? I was thinking he should team up with ClassFlix who are bringing the Blondie TV series to DVD.

Yes, I remember that conversation. Unfortunately, I haven't recorded it off Retro TV. Either they didn't show it or I missed it. There were about 2 or 3 days where I forgot to record the show. I have set my timer to record the show daily, but forgot to change it to the correct channel on account of my cable box also being hooked up to my DVR. That may have been one of those days!

Thanks for providing the link. I just watched the episode. It was a good one. I like the episodes focusing on Ozzie and Harriet better than the ones focusing on the boys. I like the verbal sparring between O&H. Harriet really comes across as the smart, sensible one in the relationship, and Ozzie isn't afraid to act like the dim one. I liked how it all ended up in the end. I was wondering how "Babyface" Nelson was going to get away with breaking into the dry cleaners.
Turns out the door was unlocked anyway, and Ozzie "left" his wallet as a form of I.D. LOL
