Good discussion, guys! Just wanted to chime in and let Gary OS know that I followed Josh's lead and ordered The Best of the Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet set from Shout Factory. It'll be a while before I can get my hands on it, but definitely looking forward to getting more acquainted with the Nelson family.

I have watched the first two episodes included. From season one, The Fall Guy didn’t do very much for me; the rudimentary filming techniques and simple script I could live with, but the scoring was a bit heavy handed for me. But David’s Birthday, from the second season, was an improvement across the board and I really liked that one.

Here’s my next dodo head question. I have the Shout four disc best of set already, and the Shout best Of Dave and Ricky and Shout Christmas set on the way.

How much overlap is there between those and the Mill Creek 100 set?

Cause I think I’m in!
Not a lot - 18 episodes if I counted/located properly. One of the 4 Christmas episodes from the Shout set is on the MC set.

Here's the MC list of episodes with indicators for the overlaps and set:

Bolded = dups
Z at end = Best of Rick & Dave
X at end = Best of The Adventures…
C at end = Christmas

Watched the one last night with Ozzie liking the kids show more than the kids and sending away for the toy submarine.

He makes being befuddled look fun!

And Ozzie is the best with being startled or shocked. His jumps and expressions are priceless in such instances.

Gary “Josh, you need the Mill Creek set for ‘The Duenna’ if nothing else” O.

The Tutti Frutti Ice Cream one killed me. Essentially Harold and Kumar without the weed!

Fantastic episode, Josh. BTW, once you get the Millcreek set take a look at that episode again and you’ll enjoy another song in the ice cream parlor that was cut from the Shout set episode.

Gary “really glad you are enjoying these as much as the rest of us do” O.

Mill Creek set came today. I’m ripping it to my home theater PC now. I’m making a point of keeping the MC versions of things that were on the Shout set. Probably won’t watch the doubles right away but next time I cycle through the show I’ll peek at those versions instead.

I bet the iPad I’ve been watching most of these on isn’t too much smaller than the screens that a lot of families were gathering around to watch it on during the 1950s. I usually grab a seat in the kitchen, make myself a late night snack, sometimes splurge on a black cherry soda, and enjoy an episode in a moment of quiet before bed. It’s actually turning into a very nice routine!
