There was a thread dating back to 2014 asking members to list there 10 top wants of 70s films for Bluray. What a difference 5 years can make: We collectively singled out 264ilms we wanted for Blu Ray (I weeded out doubles, tv movies and films mistakenly put in not from our Golden decade). I thought it be interesting to lock this list in and present our wants that have come to be and a list that has yet to come. A very eclectic list indeed. Lets see if our 127(surprisingly less than those that made it to Blu)other wants will make it

The Legend of Boggy Creek is no longer in the public domain. The director's daughter has reclaimed ownership of the film and has paid for a restoration, though a Blu-ray release has yet to be officially announced.

It was nominated for four Oscars (Picture, Actor Paul Winfield, Actress Cicely Tyson, and writing). There was a Disney-made t.v. movie from 1995 that does not hold a candle to the original. I wish whoever owns this now would get it on Blu, as the old DVD looks awful.

Agreed. 1972 was also a watershed year for both Cicely Tyson and Diana Ross for Lady Sings The Blues ( as well as Blues screenwriter) ...were both nominated for Best Actress all were women of color. In another thread for obscure movies should be listed Part 2 Sounder...a 1976 sequel that seems to have vanished as It has never been on any home video format
