Here's the current situation. I currently have a 5 channel receiver which has an A/B speaker selector. The A is my main theater room and the B runs the speakers on the patio.

This will be the setup this weekend: Marantz AV-550 pre/pro, Parasound HCA 2200 II (2 channel amp for the mains), Parasound HCA 2003 (3 channel amp for the center and rears).

My question: Can I use a "Y" adapter on the output signal from the Marantz AV-550 and input into the Parasound HCA 2200 II amp and another 2 channel amp, which I'll call "x amp" (I need to purchase), so I can run the patio speakers from "X amp"? Will the signal degrade when splitting it?

Come to think of it, the Marantz pre/pro has multi-room capabilities. Maybe I would be better off using this feature instead. I'm not familiar with this pre/pro so I guess I have some reading to do.

    Thanks for your help.
