I am looking to dive into the world of seperates for a new theater I will be building in our first home! Currently i am running the Panasonic SAHE400 reciever, Polk RTi100's for the front a crappy nuance center channel and big ol sony floor standers for the rears. Dont worry the only thing coming with me are the Polks :). I am interested in the Outlaw audio 950 Preamp and 7100 amp. Are these a good choice? And if so anyone selling either of them? Im a first time poster so this site is a gigantic help. THanks for the info..

I own both and am quite pleased with them. However the 950 feature set is getting long in the tooth and if I were buying today I might look for a pre/pro with some of the more recent features like Dolby PLIIx.

There's much more info over in the
Outlaw forum

Chris, I agree with Garrett. While the 950 is a fine piece, it is a bit out dated. You might wanna give these a look. Thus Sherwood piece

and the Rotel 1068.http://www.rotel.com/products/specs/rsp1068.htm

They are about the cheapest pre/pros out there and they are a great value.
You could also look into Adcom stuff. There are a few good deals here. http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/mf...g=ADCOM&Page=2
I just don't think there stuff is upgradeble like the afore mentioned, but it will definetly hold it's own.
