Hi everyone,

This is my first post, and its about something that been bothering me.
Ive looked, looked, looked, and looked some more. I cant find any information on a release on the outer limits(90's).

Ive also tried to look for a way to get in touch with the likes of MGM. I cant even find anyway to do that.

Pretty much Im just wandering if you guys may have heard or have some information about this. This has got to be my favorite tv series!

Thanks

There's actually lots of the 90s OL available. Have you searched Amazon.com or deepdiscount.com? Have you looked in your local Best Buy or Borders? There's multiple sets out there.

Actually, you're wrong. There aren't a lot of DVD releases for this series. A few single DVD releases featuring selected episodes as well as the first complete season were all that were released.

MGM has yet to release any of the other seasons and considering how long it's been since Season 1 was released, don't expect news of any future sets forthcoming from the studio.

No, it's a collection of some of the various single-disc releases into one slipcover. It's a far, far distant cry from a complete series release.

well nowhere in my post did I imply the entire series was released....I said quite a few episodes. The original poster made it sound like he couldn't find ANY.

I apologize, I should have specified. I meant any news on the complete series as I find it a waste of money to buy the episode collections.

yea I wasn't impressed with the packaging of Relic Hunter at all. In fact I commented on the packaging at amazon.ca.

Thought I'd pop into this thread. I'm a long time fan of the original. I'd be curious to learn more about how to get the new season sets from Alliance in Canada.

I have the first season US MGM release of The New Outer Limits. And I'm curious to see at least the second and third season. I caught glimpses of the Feasibility Study remake once in syndication but I've seen very few not having cable.

I've read some reviews that the Alliance DVD's aren't as good quality as the MGM sets and are edited for content. I can live with the edits. Hopefully the image quality is watchable. I only see used and new copies sold by third party vendors at Amazon. But the Canadian Amazon has new copies. Being a US resident, not sure how it is ordering from Amazon.ca.

Thanks for any insights.

Nelson, I have ordered Blu-ray exclusives from Alliance from amazon.ca with no problems. Just point your browser to the .ca site and order just like you normally would.

Thanks. So it's that transparent? The exchange rate is calculated for you and then they ship it to the US? What if there is a problem, a bad disc, is it as easy to request an exchange?

Yep, the exchange rate is performed and the package ships right to my doorstep. No problems to date and just as simple and trouble free as a domestic order. Sorry, can't speak to the merchandise exchange process if there is a problem; but this is Amazon - so I would expect the same policies to apply as they would for a domestic order; guessing of course.

Edit: BTW, I placed one order with amazon.uk and the experience was fairly similar other than the shipping and was also uneventful.

Hi Nelson,

I have S1, S2, S3, S4, and S6 on dvd. There is only problem with the set and that is the actual dvd casing. The dvd casing is very weak and they have dvds on top each other. The issue is not with amazon, but, with the company that manufactured and ship them to amazon. This was same issue i had with relic hunter. So, you need be very careful when you open the set.

I have watch several episodes and the show is amazing, especially with some of actors included in the episodes. The virtual prison is one of my favourite and it stars David Hyde Pearce. I have watch several so far and i like many episodes. Late last week i watched the gettysburg episode, which was a great as well.

It is so sad that shows like this do not exist and thank you for dvd so i can cherish this show in my own home!!

Thanks Paul!

I remember some promos for the David Hyde Pierce episode on ET or something like back in the day.

I'll see about picking up some of these!

Hey Nelson,

You will like the set. I watch a double episode last night with Jeff Bridges, which also had Lloyd Bridges in the show as well.

I get more addicted to the shows after watching more and more episodes. I also have the older version and it is very good. I would recommend that set as well. It is too bad that sci-fi does not make shows like this anymore.
