Outdoor Set up (1 Viewer)

Hi, new to the forum and know almost nothing about receivers. I am trying to set up 3 sets of Polk Audio 4 outdoor speakers around pool and large patio. I am planning to wire these to a receiver and add chromecast (google house here). In doing some research, I think I can just get a pretty basic 7.2 surround receiver and hook up all speakers. Friend used the Sonos Connect AMP but he isnt using Chromecast Audio which we want.
Any thoughts or recommendations on a receiver, is this going to work?

Just make sure the receiver has a “seven channel stereo” mode, which will send the audio signal to all channels.
