Out of Time (2003) for $10 at Best Buy.

This must have gone on sale last weekend, but I didn't see it till I walked into my store today.

It was on the register end-cap, where the long-term markdowns usually sit.

Not sure if this will go off sale tomorrow or not...

That was a surprisingly good movie. Excellent noir.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a permanent price drop. OOT is an MGM title, and they have been VERY aggressive recently about dropping non-SE releases to the $9.99 street price level just months after initial release. Other examples (both 2003 theatrical releases like OOT): Dark Blue & City Of Ghosts

Because of this I almost never buy MGM discs I want on street date anymore, because I know that by waiting a few months I'll be able to get them for $9.99 at BB (or sometimes $7.50 at Wal-Mart).

FWIW, I agree with Aaron - enjoyable little flick, and at this price it will be added to my collection.

I think that it's permanent too because I saw it a CC last Friday for 9.99 too.

Dark Blue is a great, great movie. But it and OOT *are* SEs -- each has a commentary and several featurettes. (Not that I'm complaining! [IMG] )

Good point, Aaron. Perhaps a better term than "non-SE" would be "lower profile".

At any rate, I love MGM's aggressive pricing. Nothing like snagging good-to-great flicks like Dark Blue & OOT for 8 to 10 bucks!

Was at a BB in nicer neighborhood yesterday.

OOT had been marked back up to $20.

Never actually saw it for $10 at this location, but the price sticker was overlayed, so I think it might have been marked down briefly there too.

Since I typically buy ex-rentals for around $10 this is an interesting trend, but not likely one that will catch on.

Now OOT is on sale for $7.99 at CC!

Starting to think this movie is getting no respect.

Last good movie treated this way was 'Heartbreakers'.

Sometimes good movies get dumped for no reason.

Not a complaint, mind you, just an observation.

I'm glad to have a copy of both.

I have not seen OOT, perhaps I should?

BTW yesterday I noticed 'Training Day' at a local store for $9.99 , regular price.

Perhaps its Denzel Washington that is not selling? [IMG] j/k

If you dig modern film noirs with twisty plots, then you'll definitely like OOT.

After seeing the high-energy trailer (and knowing almost nothing), I thought the first half was a bit slow.

Second half kicks into gear and I enjoyed the film.

I'd says it's worth at least $8, pick it up this week at CC.

One of Danzel's worst films IMO.

Boring straight through. Although the ending was suppose to shock and awww, it was pretty obvious how it would end even just 30 min. into the film.

I love most of Danzel's movies but this one just stuck out as one which is better left on the shelf, PERMANANTLY.
