I want to get this Barbet Schroder film but as I'm in the UK most etailers will provide the Canadian release.

AFAIK the Canadian Alliance release only has 2.0 Spanish and not the 5.1 of the US Paramount release.

Can anyone with the Canadian version confim this for me?

Also can anyone with the US version confirm the specs of that disc too.

The US version has a 5.1 mix. and absolutely no extras. The 5.1 mix is nothing to get worked up over, though. The film is very dialogue heavy. A DD 2.0 mix should be fine.

If you use www.amazon.com I'd expect you to get the US release.
