How many of you keep a personal list of your upcoming DVD purchases? I just updated mine through November, and getting through mid-October is going to be a killer! Here's my list for the next couple of months:

    August 27
High Crimes, The Rookie, The Fog, Return Of the Living Dead, Last House On The Left, The Believers, Cat People, Resevoir Dogs (depending on the transfer, which is getting lousy reviews - I may just keep my Live version)

    September 3
Blade II, Don't Look Now, My Bloody Valentine (guilty pleasure), The Wanderers (wanted Gross Anatomy & Mr. Destiny as well, but I think they are pan & scan)

    September 10
Changing Lanes, Count Of Monte Cristo, Near Dark

    September 17
Frailty, Hollywood Ending, Kissing Jessica Stein, Monsters, Inc, The Onion Field, Panic Room

    September 24
Amadeus (2-disc), Enigma, Grease, Heavenly Creatures, Murder By Numbers, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (2-disc), Singin' In The Rain (2-disc), Swingers S.E., Trading Places, True Romance (2-disc), Unforgiven (2-disc)

    October 1
Brotherhood Of the Wolf, Scorpion King, Cat's Eye, The Mechanic, A Perfect World

    October 8
Beauty & The Beast, Flashdance, Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive, Footloose, Scooby Doo (OCT. 11)

Then, of course, I'll need to soak $50 for the E.T. deluxe set so I can get the original cut of the film. Anyone else dreading the next couple of months?

I am not too worried since I am only really interested in Blade 2, The Fog, and Changing Lanes. Maybe also Return of the Living Dead and Frailty.

I just did a list for Sept, Oct and November so far and if anything else is released in November everyone will need to take out a loan.

Sept and October arent that bad. Then here comes november with a lot of tv show box sets, Lord of the Rings Extended Cut, Spiderman and Ice Age

My list is scary. In addition to the movies, all those TV series I wanted are coming out with new boxsets in the next few weeks... We're talking 8 or 9 boxsets in a single month! Eek!

I'm not even going to give my want list. For September alone I'm just shy of 30 titles at this time--almost 1 a day! And these things aren't vitamins. What's really unfortunate is that my birthday comes in September, so how can I restrain myself. Sure, I'll get a few titles as gifts, but it's still gotten way out of hand. Maybe I need to buy a blackboard so I can just keep writing over and over, "I won't buy any more DVDs! I won't buy any more DVDs! I won't buy any more DVDs!...." Yeah, sure, just like I said not long ago I'd never buy another laserdisc and then bought 3 this week (including a Japanese SONG OF THE SOUTH) with 1 more on eBay to bid on, and 2 new (to me) Panasonic LX-900 laserdisc players within the last 3 weeks to play them on.
