Serpico and The Associates both ran uncut on a local NY cable channel airing NY based shows.

On a sidenote, has anyone experienced extremely poor customer service from VEI. Actually, non-existent is more accurate.

I ordered 2 sets from them. They sent me one that was wrong. 3 emails later and still no response.

I've had some pretty disappointing customer service experiences with VEI. Which is unfortunate, because they've released a lot of stuff that I'm glad to have. One time I gave up trying to get a replacement for a defective disc and just spent the $25 to re-order the set from Amazon. Even wrote them (a polite, I think) letter detailing the issues I'd had with their non-responsive customer service, and wait for it - got no response. I hope they keep releasing stuff I want, but now I just wait a month or two after the release until it's available on Amazon.

I might have to do that w/Petrocelli-- I never did get that replacement fourth disc for my copy (fourth disc of first season's worth), and so I seem to have no other options but to get another copy (that, and possibly donate the one I had to the Goodwill in Simpsonville).

Sounds like my experience. Literally no response at all. They didn’t send me what I ordered and now I’m out the $25 I spent. I felt like my emails to them were polite as well. Lesson learned. I will not order from them again.

You’re very lucky. If they send you what you’ve ordered, that’s great. If you have a problem, they will never respond. Strange that they put a specific sticker in their cases to contact Customer Care if there is a problem with your order. Yet, no response. Lol.

VEI went out of their way to send me a replacement case for my Dan August order when the one I received was badly damaged. They sent it to me in time for Christmas. I have high praise for them.

As well you should! I don't know why you got what you wanted from them, while I didn't.

I think VEI should release a collection of TV movies produced by Paramount Television, like they do sometimes with these other TV show collections.

Among them, such collections I mention would include the following TV movies:
    Seven in Darkness (1969)
    Quarantined (1970)
    Weekend of Terror (1970)
    Assault on the Wayne (1971)
    Dr. Cook's Garden (1971)
    Escape (1971)
    Terror in the Sky (1971)
    Women in Chains (1972)
    Night of Terror (1972)
    The Heist (1972)
    The Weekend Nun (1972)
    Poor Devil (1973)
    Call to Danger (1973)
    A Time for Love (1973)
    Egan (1973)
Delancey Street: The Crisis Within (1975)
    Law and Order (1976)
    Red Alert (1977)
Mary Jane Harper Cried Last Night (1977)
Flesh & Blood (1979) - original broadcast was 4 hours long! Probably would best come out as a standalone release if length is permissive.
    Act of Violence (1979)
    Letters from Frank (1979)
    The Gift (1979)
The Top of the Hill (1980)
The Girl, the Gold Watch and Everything (1980)
The Girl, the Gold Watch and Dynamite (1981)
    Roman Holiday (1987)
    Shooter (1988)

CBS owns the Worldvision library, which in turn had the Spelling made for TV movies. And he made a lot of them.

Does anyone know who owns City in Fear, that TV movie that starred David Janssen (his last film), Robert Vaughn, Mickey Rourke, Susan Sullivan, Perry King and William Daniels? It ran on ABC back in 1979 and was issued on VHS as SLP speed in 1992 by AVID Home Video, distributed by LIVE Home Video. The film itself carries a copyright from Trans World International. It'd be great to get at least a DVD.

I didn't know TWI produced TV movies. They did mostly sports as well as trash sports, like Battle of the Network Stars and The Superstars. They're still in business so no reason to believe they don't still own it.

Hotel De Paree, Gunslinger, and Trackdown could be logical choices for us western fans!

They could do a whole line called "Aaron Spelling Presents" with just the TV-Movie :)
