Finally back into Season 2 of Evening Shade to finish watching that first disc with 9 episodes.

Episodes 5 through 9 are generally in the 23 to 23.30 minute range. Seems like they are complete. I am not noticing any awkward cuts or missing punchlines, so other than the opening two parter, these may be complete. Probably won't get back to this one for a bit, but I will keep updating as I work my way through them. I will try to record the running time with each episode title when this returns in my rotation.

Its just one of those 1950s shows which CBS produced decades ago which they feel has no commercial or syndication value today. They've never bothered to transfer it to any videotape format, similar to other shows they own, like Sheriff of Cochise (aka U.S. Marshal), The Millionaire (which they did do dirty transfers for Decades), Gray Ghost, Desilu Playhouse, Grand Jury, Official Detective, The Lineup (aka San Francisco Beat), December Bride and I'm sure a number of others.

I’m at least happy they gave "Our Miss Brooks" a proper remastering. I just wish a network would actually show it again. I believe 2017 was the last time the series aired on Me-TV. It hasn’t aired on Decades or Me-TV since then. Shame on me for not capturing it at the time.

Me-TV first aired "The Millionaire" back in 2012, I believe. The prints are sourced from 16mm, but at least a network is airing it. I would love to see "December Bride" and "Whirlybirds" be aired. There’s no high quality captures of both of those series’. I wouldn’t mind if CBS transferred 16mm prints to air, just anything to present these shows in a higher quality that what we have.

If at least one of those comes out for 2020, I'll be ready with my disc dollar (especially Ryan's Four and The Cavanaughs)!
