Sad news...another legend has left us. I still treasure her vocal talents as Frosty the Snowman's wife Crystal. Thanks for all the great memories, Shelley!

I fell in love with Shelly Winters in "Winchester '73", "A Place in the Sun", & "Night of the Hunter"

I did not know until today that she had an uncredited roll in "Red River". I'll have to check that scene out.

I remember hearing about her heart problems a few months ago, but assumed that she had recovered.

R.I.P.

Sad news. I'll always remember her in The Poseidon Adventure, one of my favorite films. I think I'll put it on tomorrow as a tribute. RIP

The first movie I remember seeing her in is Pete's Dragon. I liked her work a lot. I was surprised to hear she died.

This morning on TCM, I watched her again in "A Patch of Blue" playing a character against type. Also, "A Place in the Sun" is showing at 2:00 p.m. for those interested.

Me, too. Ironic, considering her status in her early career as a sex symbol.

She will be missed.

FWIW, I thought she gave as a good performance as she could in that classic of cheesy 80s action "The Delta Force".

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Wondering if AMC will be running that movie in her honor.

R.I.P. Shelley. She gave so many memorable performances that it's hard to single out just one, but her portrayal of Charlotte in "Lolita" was probably her all-time best.
