In the first half of the 20th Century, Oscar Micheaux emerged as one of the first major Black filmmakers in a time where Hollywood by and large turned a blind eye to them due to the prejudices of the era. In a massive undertaking by Kino, the Library of Congress and several film archives, the surviving films from this crucial filmmaker from both the Silent and Sound Era are presented on this 5-disc Blu-ray set.
